And apparently, the track he's on (MIR) is one of the slowest ones in the DC Metro area. Damn.

Bone stock? That thing sounds pretty nasty for a bone stock vette, usually those cars are really quiet.

Nice. I see a bunch of people are going ape shit because he used DR's instead of stock rubber.

Yeah I was wondering what the consider bone stock. Because even a change in air filter on that thing produces a nice gain. Very nice nonetheless. I'm assuming that is the fastest time, for stock, thus far?

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

I can't say for sure but I think I recall someone saying that someone broke 10's with a stock C6 ZO6.

It'd be possible. I mean 505 hp (according to GM, though there has supposedly been dynoed at around 475 or so at the wheels, which would be more then 505 at the flywheel) and what, 3000 lbs, roughly???

Set of slicks, well prepped AND "fast" track, with a good driver...yeah I'd say you might could slip into the 10.90s.

500+ hp is about what all the true race cars have with small blocks, so the power is most definetly there. The Z06 would probably have about a 700 or so more pounds heavier race weight then a normal door car (like mine), so that'd be the difference.

I read somewhere that the motor is actually putting out more like 530 hp. Either way its pretty bad ass.

Re: C6Z06 Bone-Stock on Drag Radials -- 11.06 127.80

At first I saw several making 440 RWHP or so.
But that was low LOW mileage cars.

Seems there are plenty more out there making 460 RWHP now. Haven't seen much more than that, but I haven't been paying that much attention either.

All I know...I really want to run one.

Well, 460 horsepower at the wheels would still be 520-530 or so at the flywheel.

I think it'd end up being a pretty good race between you and a Z06. You got a power advantage, but they got a weight advantage.

I remember there was that thread awhile back where they got ridiculous gains from just intake/headers...

Anyway, Luos against a z06 would be one badass race
