Hello all!

This is just to say hello to everyone. I just purchased my 2001 Rodeo Sport Soft Top.... V6, AT, 4x4... power everything. I am a big time Amigo/Rodeo Sport enthusiast... I used to own a 1993 back in the day.... so I love the vehicle! I come from the Car Audio realm so I have extensive knowledge on the fun stuff! (I will help anyone who may have a tech question.... just let me know!) I will be making major upgrades to the Rodeo sport... here is my list, some which have been done.

* Air Intake upgrade - (In shipping)
* Cat Back Exhaust upgrade - (TBA)
* Super tune up - (In progress, NGK Iridiums installed, Fuel filter replaced)
* Nerf bars added (In shipping)
* Bug Guard - (In shipping - Have you seen Texas sized bug splatter??? LOL This is a must!)
* Audio system upgraded - 50% complete, Replaced deck Panasonic 8303 MP3, replaced all for 6 1/2 speakers w/ Infinity Ref Series powered by Massive Audio P400.4... they scream!!! Adding Massive Audio P400.2 for the Wet Sounds PRO485B concert speaker for the loudest sound on the road! Also adding 2 10" subscustom built into the back door to keep my cargo space... powered by a Massive Audio P500.1.
* Security system upgrade - (TBA)
* CARR low profile light bar w/ 4 low profile fog lights (Hella Optilux oval model 1200) (In shipping)
* Top upgrade w/ tinted plastic windows - (TBA)
* Tinted windows - (Done - 15% limo tint.... no - not legal!)
* Rims / tires - (TBA)
* Upgrade shocks - Was thinking Sky Jacker Nitro 8000 series(TBA)
* Timing belt, water pump, etc - (TBA... soon!)
* Replace all 4 o2 Sensors
* Shorty black Antenna (Stupid thing to list but made a huge difference in the look! The silver stick was ugly on an all black/dark silver trim Rodeo. DONE!)
* Drilled and slotted brakes w/ Kevlar pads.... put these on a Ford Focus.... they rocked! (TBA)

I am also looking for HP gains... if anyone has any "tricks of the trade" tweaks please let me know! I have seen some pretty easy free HP from cheap and easy tricks on other vehicles. Are there any for the Rodeo 3.2L V6?

Thanks again everyone! I hope to share lots of ideas with you guys and gals.

Have fun!

Re: Hello all!

I would wait on the O2 sensors since the CEL will let you know when one goes bad and it will tell you which one of the 4 is bad.

As for power you have the 2 main ones inmind already. If you are bolting on a cone filter make sure you have a heat sheild or you will just be sucking up hot air (see the FAQ for some temp readings on this).

the only other large HP gain is to purchase a supercharger kit (which they do make for your truck).

The weak link in your system is the tranny since it is only rated at like 300hp max.
