Automatic Transmission Question
Just recently bought a 1991 honda civic with an automatic transmission. Its bone stock with relatively low kms. But what im wondering if its normal to feel a slight jolt when the car is decelerating to stop? Its a similar feeling to engine braking on a standard going from 3rd gear to 2nd but without the high revs.
Is this normal for these kinds of cars? It seems to accelerate normally and it shifts just fine, and the kick down works just as well. but as I said, when it slows down from about 10km/hr to 5kms/hr I feel a sudden jolt then I hear the engine down back at idle... Is my idle too low? is there an adjustment I can do to make it run better?? Maybe the better question to ask is: Is this normal for these Hondas on these year(s). Any ideas would help thanks! |

Re: Automatic Transmission Question
torque converter or tranny fluid most likely. Change your tranny fluid, couldn't hurt either way.
