Upgrading Turbo
Hello guys, I need your opinions really fast. I am getting a whole fuel system upgrade and my friend just offered me a turbo for dirt cheap. Its even cheaper then a used 14b on DSM tuners and its brand new with zero miles.
http://www.xs-power.com/turbos/turbo004.html I know its XS power but I am getting it for cheap so fuck it. Now the real question. What would be spool time on a 2.0 4g63 ? I dont want it to spool at 6K  . I will be needing some T3 exhaust manifold. I dont know how I will fit that fucker inside my engine bay but oh well. Its says its a 60-1 ... I hope thats any good.Also, I was looking at extremepsi.com and I am thinking of getting one of their wastegates from TIAL. But which kind? 38mm, 44mm 48mm? For the turbo I got, I will be rebuilding the engine in about 3 months so I will be boosting a little high so whivh wastegates serves my purpose. Is the 38mm good since thats the one I am thinking of getting. Thanks guys

Would you rather buy one decent turbo or that POS then a decent turbo? Remember, a bad turbo isnt all that could come of this, I've heard of things going really bad and parts of the turbo get in the combustion chamber and fuck shit up. Not worth the risk IMO.

 Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order. The Purple People Eater will ride again... January 2011 can't come soon enough.
