My Timeline on a Portrait right now

Here's the sketch of the face I'm drawing for a client. I know it ain't as good as "stuffbyalex" but not bad in fives hours of actual work (took many long lazy breaks)

7:35 pm: Took me a good twenty minutes.

7:46pm: First ten minutes into the shading

8:50pm: The first hour (took two ten minute breaks)

11:48pm: The fourth hour (Yeah I know, a big jump, decided to go out eat dinner and watch Hell's Kitchen to see the hype about it)

1:30am: Almost there! Just need to finish up the neck and the collars (Was on the lou (toilet) couple times) >_<

3:00am: Finally Finished! After 8 hours of shading, (three hours of breaks included) I'm done. Came out pretty well, almost close to the picture I would say

Feedbacks and comments would appreciated.

Re: My Timeline on a Portrait right now

learn to imply forms of hair and skin folds and teeth without drawing every tiny single line of them. life is not seen only in lines, but as well in lost-and-found lines.

the drawing is great, but could be excellent by softening it's impact by drawing "less." the girls photo is soft and pleasing. the drawing is harsh and overworked.

but you will develop with time. you have plenty of talent. you lack skill.

great drawing but maybe a bit too fast...

look at the mouth angel , it dosent match to the real, under the eyes it should be more round and the nose dosent looks in any way like in the pic.

Re: My Timeline on a Portrait right now

Thanks for the comments and I will consider it, but honestly the pictures doesn't do justice. i have to admit, I did rush it on this because the client wanted it the next day. Didn't give me enough time to do a real good job on it and it was my third portrait I've done in my life. But yes, thanks for the feedback and I will keep on practicing.
