Nissan Laurel 2000 SGX
Another old school 70's build - it's the Aoshima kit (although I think it was originally produced by Doyusha) - fairly simple as it was designed to be motorised but I think it should build up ok. So far I've polished out the Fiat Purple Pearl & made a start on the trim with Bare Metal Foil. Wheels are Aoshima starshark stretchwalls (I'll paint the centres gold) & the interior will be light tan.
![]() Thanks for looking Andy

Awesome job. I like the color and rims (but they could be bigger).

Basically once it's on the trim I give it a rub with a soft cloth (old t-shirt etc) and make sure its snug to the trim by pressing it down using a wooden cocktail stick. The excess is cut away with a new X-Acto blade. Hope that helps. Thanks Andy

Re: Nissan Laurel 2000 SGX
looks really good. i want to start my own collection of this vintage and style as well. the rims may seem small to most, but it's perfect in size in terms of accuracy for the time/style era. i recently picked up a magazine at my local japanese book store that included a DVD of a TON of these cars in it. freakin awesome stuff!!

I have a 9-5 office job 5 days a week - wish I could make a living from building kits but then that would probably take some of the fun out of it.Cheers Andy
