Projector Headlights...

so why is it bad to spend half the price and buy them off ebay instead of paying 300 dollars and getting them from a store??? something about them being plastic instead of glass??

Pretty much they're all crap. There is only one company that makes glass ones, cant remember which or if they are still even in production.

Re: Projector Headlights...

They're usually not defective. I think maybe they're regarded as crap because the plastic isnt AS GOOD a quality as the stock lamps. I've had mine for almost 3 years, and have never had any problems. The only issue I ever had was with 4500K xenon bulbs in there, they melted the roof of the bulb cavity. But plain xenon bulbs are really hot bulbs regardless. I have switched to HID 8000K, no problems with heat.

I dont think they're a bad idea to get, but you are paying a hundred or so for just a differnent look/style. It all boils down to if thats worth it to you.

Re: Projector Headlights...

i already paid $170 canadian off ebay and i bought 7000k NOKYA xenon's from a japanese store for like 30 bucks. when i stuck them in my stock headlight unit, smoke came up from the right one so i disconnected it and reconnected it and it didn't smoke up again... is heat really gonna be an issue?
