I got one like the second you can have for $10. I'm pretty sure it works.

Agreed.

That's why I only want $10 for it (price of shipping and my time to pack it in a box). I'd rather just toss it though...

Re: what air fuel gauge to buy.

They do serve a purpose, however unless you spend like $500 for the LC1 they are kina useless for tuning purposes.

$500? My LC-1 cost $199 which is how much they sell them for directly on their site: innovatemotorsports.com.
That's all you need to view AF ratio. You can either output it to one of those digital gauges, or better yet, just output it to a laptop for the uber-coolness. It comes with the software to have a digital gauge displayed on your laptop that show's afr. That's all you need to view air/fuel ratio. Now if you want to tune, that's a different story. You have two options:

1. adjustable FPR. This is not optimal, but can be effective to a certain extent. Only problem is you don't have the ability to tune individual throttle loads. Cheap though.
2. Tuning equipment:
-PR3 ecu
-chipping kit (from xenocron.com)
-datalogging kit
-have ecu chipped (can be done at xenocron for an additional $50)
-moates ostrich rom emulator
-BRE OBD0 tuning software (can be downloaded for free from pgmfi.org)

xenocron.com sells a kit w/ everything you need above including the LC-1 wideband and an already chipped ecu ready to go. You just need to plug everything in and start tuning. Kit cost's $540.

After you spend that $540 and install everything, you can then use that PR3 for ANY motor you put into your car: GSR, ITR, B16, D15, H22, etc. No more buying different ecu's. And now, you'll have the ability to tune after everything you install (exhaust, intake, new air filter, larger injectors, cams, etc....the list goes on and on), therefore optimizing your setup.

BTW, stay away from the AFR gauges that only show lean, rich, and stoichiometric. That's just car-show crap. It has no functionality....as other's have said, just a "light show".

Re: what air fuel gauge to buy.

so it would be a waste of money for me.

and i just did a whole obd-1 conversion. and i finally sold my pw0. so obd-0 is out of the question. cant i just get a datalogging kit and use the crome programing with it?

As long as you have the ability to datalog, then you're good. Buying the LC-1 would still be a good investment.

No problem. Just spend a few weeks reading on pgmfi.org and you'll begin to get a grasp on all this tuning stuff.
