Re: ck trans light and cruise engage light

what is the history on the fluid changes on the tranny?

Is there enough fluid in the tranny?

Your dieing at a stop could be a bunch of thing:

1. Bad intake manifold gasket (very common)
2. Dirty EGR system (very common)
3. Old plugged fuel filter
4. dirty MAF sensor.

Re: ck trans light and cruise engage light

Was the EGR tube cleaned too (see the faq's)?
History on the fuel filter?

When you pull the auto trans select through the gears (slowly) do the numbers on the dash match up to the ones onthe selector?

Are you the orginal ower?

Do you know the flush history of the tranny? If so what mileage was it done at?

"ck trans light and cruise engaged light" I think that means your battery or alt is on the way out. The tranny will do funny things if it is getting too many volts or too few. Have the battery and alt load tested (many have done this to alts and it tests ok, and still have issues, then the replace it and it goes away).

you had the Check Trans codes read? they are different than the CEL codes that are more commonly checked.
