Yeah that is what I was going to say. I wish I could say it was a closer match but it really isn't.

Re: gt vs z28

Drivers race? In an auto? Stock for stock the Z28 is gonna win hands down. I've owned both I know. The LT1 in the Z28 pulls like a mother off the line and doesn't do too bad up top compared to the 94 Mustang GT. There are too many things working agianst the Mustang for it too even be a race.

215hp 94 Mustang vs 275hp Z28 stock

Are you talking to me? In a race as close as that driving skill is a big factor, especially if their racing from a dig. Just because one car is an auto doesent mean their driving skill is null. Even just the skill of the V6 driver can determine the outcome of the race.

Yes I was. A 215hp mustang vs a 275hp camaro is not a close race. The mustang has some problems here one obviously having less HP. Two its an auto, and anyone who knows anything about autos especially in that particular year knows they suck big time. And three stock the 302 cannot match the torque of the LT1. So this is not a fair race. Now if the Mustang was a 5spd well it would be a better race. My money would still be on the LT1 but it would still be a better race. The race to watch would be a 93 GT 5spd against this Z28. Because then the mustang would have weight in its favor. Don't get me wrong I don't discout skill, but I have yet seen skill make up for 60hp.

No doubt the LT1 should win, its a much faster car and it shouldent even be a close race. I was talking about the race between the V6 Maro and GT when I said it was a "drivers race".

Re: gt vs z28

AOD < 4L60

and a 3800 fbody and a NPI or 5.0 GT is a drivers race, unless the maro/bird has the Y87 package, then the fbody will take it

Re: gt vs z28

I would still favor the 5.0 in that situation.
