1996 Lumina Headlights stopped working

Haven't had any issues then out of nowhere the headlights stopped working. Changed the fuse, messed with the switch (haven't changed it yet). Was working on it last night and noticed that the dash and radio lights were on when the light switch was off, as soon as the light switch was turned on the dash and radio lights went off.

The tail and parking lights are working fine.

Need some ideas here???

Try manually operating the dimmer switch to see if it's out of adjustment and "between" positions. If the lights don't come on when the dimmer is operated manually, you need a headlamp switch. The radio display is fed power through the headlamp switch when the lights are on, so it will dim with the interior light dimmer. It get's it's power independently from the switch when the lights are off so you can see it in the daytime.
