hood cable snapped

91 s-10...the hood cable seems to have snapped at the hood latch. Any suggestions on how to get the hood open?

If you can get the grille off without breaking it you can get it open, other then that im not sure I know ive seen this on other S-Series SPECIFIC forums. I think.

Stick a long screwdriver under the hood into the latch and push to the left. It should have a u shape in the latch spring . Then you can tie a electrical wire thru the thing to open it from now on unless you want to fix it. You may need a flashlight to see the latch.
