broken radius rod!

Hi guys, nothing much really but just to update that I am now back in Australia and at least in Sydney during the weekend as my work has sent me to Port Macquarie.

Anyway, while i was driving yesterday, my right side radius rod broke! luckily I wasnt going very fast as I was slowing down to turn into a corner. The only thing that I did was jammed on the brake a bit sudden and then CRUNCH! Managed to turn the corner and park it somewhere which wasnt holding up too much traffic. The damage was quite bad for me as I just recently got my car reprayed. The right hand side guard was farily smashed in and had a few scratches on the driver side door. Dont know what caused it to snap but I think it might be something to do with my car being too low. The shit thing is, I was going to get the height raised up as well on Monday. Now it has to wait. Hopefully it wont cost too much but I noticed to that the CV boot split as there are heaps of those sticky stuff all over the place....

Thats about all really.

PS: Man tow truck costs heaps!

Damn mate, that sucks! Welcome back, but I hope your car doesn't have too many hassles. Hey, it's better than grandpa-mobile rent-a-car Camry's, right? Last thing - tell me about tow trucks - have payed for 2.

Just an update. got my radius rod fixed. took a while as JDM CRX SiR does not use the australian delivered CRX's radius rod (you guys probably know that already). In the end, found out that pretty much the drivetrain and stuff (even electrical stuff) are basically from the 1990 Integras. Which is good as I can get parts easily. Unfortunately, the hard part is to get the SiR front quarter panel as the parking light is different (even though it looks exactly the same).
Ok, about the tow truck, I didnt bother shopping for one and I got charged $190 to get it towed from the city to Cabramatta (I know a mechanic there).
