Question Has this happened to you?

Today I had the weirdest thing happen while I was driving home from the track. I shifted into 3rd & then the car died. After a quick diagnosis on the side of the road I found inside the distrib cap the screw for the rotor just chillin in the cap. I was hard on the car for 3-4hrs, cant see how the screw backed itself out. I put everything were it beloned & the car runs fine. Has this happened to anyone else? :bonghitte :smoker2: :smoka:

twice within a week. I would take it back apart, put some lock-tight on the screw and put it back together. this way it wont back itself out again.

That shit happened to me in a Taco Bell drive-through...

I had to push my car all the way through the line cuz there was a buncha people behind me (and I was hungry)... I used some loctite on it, and the problem has never happened again.

Manual or electric? I have a whole set of cranks and mechanisms for a 88-91 civic for manual.

That thing is pissing me off!!!! I cant even get the fucking thing to roll up. I am gonna take apart the whole damn thing tommorow, and there better be some sort of explanation for this shit, and hopefully I can fix it cause my friend had this happen to her accord and some shop charged her $200 to fix it and it broke 3 fucking more times after that!!

THIS SUCKS!!!

LOL, sorry about whoring up your post. I just needed to vent and I think that subconsiously people that look in here to help with the distributor might know something about the window, and I was too tired to post a new topic.

I talked to a few techs at my work today about the screw coming out for the rotor. He said any time that screw is removed or replaced thread lock is needed. I got a new rotor & screw(honda) it already has some thread lock already on it.
