1968 Vista Cruiser Rear Axle

OK, here's a fun one. I need an axle, (just the right side, internal, w/hub) for a 1968 Vista Cruiser with Turnpike Cruiser option. 400ci 2bbl/400 turbo/12 bolt 2.93 (I think) gear ratio. Have not pulled it apart yet. Sheared off at the outside of the bearing. Got real lucky, I just put it in gear in front my house when it failed. No damage other than a broken axle.
Any help as far as uniqueness of the part I need and especially any cross reference information would be of major help. I know the bearings are different than standard Cutlass's, but is there any difference in the axle itself?
Also, in the event the axle itself is a hard to find part, info as to retro-fittable drum to drum options are welcome. Thanks in advance... - Mark

Try a couple of salvage yards, they have the Hollander interchange books/programs, may be they still have one around for the older cars, good luck, cool wagon too!
