In My 2002 Ford Escape So Times It Says A Door Is Open. I Will Walk Around My Car And Make Sure Every Door Is Shut And The Light Will Still Be On. I Will Be Driving And It Will Come On. So Since It Thinks A Door Is Open I Can't Lock My Doors Because The Alarm System Will Go Off! How Can I Stop The Alarm From Going Off, Or Take It Out Or Can I Cut A Wire?? I'm Moving To A City In A Couple Of Months And I Am Going To Need To Lock My Car But I Also Don't Want It Going Off In The Middle Of The Night Because It Decides A Door Is Open!! Please Help!!

Re: I Need Help With My Factory Alarm System
A lot of Fords have a problem with the door ajar. The sensor is in the latch and dirt buildup in the mechanism gives a false door open signal. Spraying each mechanism heavily with WD-40 and opening/closing the door several times usually works pretty good at cleaning them.
