Unhappy rattle/grind coming from rear of tranny

95 s-10 5 speed 2.2 liter 101,000 miles. I'm getting this rattle/grinding noise from the rear of the tranny. This noise happens at an rpm level just above idle(I don't have a tach) in gear or not, with clutch in or out. Driving slowly or sitting still will produce the same noise, but will go away at higher rpms. Any ideas of what may be causing this? I am taking it to a shop tomorrow and would like to be armed with some info. I also checked the fluid and it is ok. Thanks for reading.

Thanks. It turned out to be the cat converter was coming apart from the inside.
