3.3 Grand overheating after lower rad hose
Rplaced the lower radiator hose and after topping off the radiator and some in the overflow bottle, the thing overheats after a few minutes. Heater blows only cold also. THere must be a big air bubble in there but I don;t know how to get it out.
Please help, my wife is stuck till I get this working. Thanks |

Re: 3.3 Grand overheating after lower rad hose
Usually it's not a problem but, if you have to, take off the radiator cap, turn the front and rear heater on full, and let it idle about 15 minutes. Just keep the radiator toped off with a 50/50 mix of coolant and distilled water. Make sure the fans kick on. Turn it off, put the cap on tight then give it a test run.

Run it up on ramps (or any way you can get the radiator top higher than the block) and remove the cap. Run it a bit in that position and it will burp. Fill it again and you should be good to go.
