This reminds me back when I had a powersteering leak, I right away ordered a new low pressure line, when all I needed was 2$ fuel line with a bend in it and a fitting on the end to screw in and some rubber hose
Returning items rocks!

 Bad part is, it makes you feel twice as bad when people are always turning to you for advice. It's so easy sometimes to think outside of the box and overlook the little things. I'll bet you porbably had the same sinister, "ah hah you little S.o.b." snicker when you found it
