88 T-bird Turbo Coupe Throttle Sticking
My buddies 88 TBird has been having the Throttle Stick on him, the cables and everything have been checked and they check out ok. He said that if he plays with the throttle long enough it will go away but that doesn't fix the problem. Has any one had this same problem or does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: 88 T-bird Turbo Coupe Throttle Sticking
Check my thread on Trottle Position Sensor (that spelling). The TPS is mounted opposite the cable side and likely could be shot and sticking--as you say. It is held in place by 2 phillips type bolts.

Re: 88 T-bird Turbo Coupe Throttle Sticking
Oops --I posted the TPS comment in another auto forum. When you remove it from the engine, try turning the mechanism which sits within the cavity shown--it should be easy to turn and is sprung--it should reset. All this assuming that your engine throttle body has this exact part. Just because it rotates, doesnt mean the part is good either. It is electrical inside and could be burned out anyway. I would post a picture but cant here.
