Unhappy FS: *** SHPYDER for sale ***

It is time...

I thought I would post it here on AF, before anywhere else. Maybe one of the brethren migth be interested. I have tried to include as much info as I can think of right now.

Ahem. Okay.

Up for sale is my 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS-T, 5-speed.

VIN: 4A3AX55F4VE020804, title: clear, registration: renewed CA.

The body has 128,815 miles on it, as of this posting. The transmission is stock. The fuel system stock. The motor (head and block) are completely new.

Other new things: starter, battery, clutch master and slave, ACT 2100 clutch w/ resurfaced fly, turbo, front brakes w/resurfaced rotors, plugs, wires, and K&N.

Here are the specifics, and I have reciepts and proof of 90% of the work.

MOTOR:

A fully built SBR stage II 2.0 6-bolt block with a Stage III 1g head (The stages are defined on their website, www.slowboyracing.com). Installed in the car at 126xxx miles. Broken in, with approximately 2,500 miles on the new motor. 20-W50 non-synthetic oil with OEM filter used and recommended.

Here are the specifics on the motor, as per my recieved invoice by SBR.

Invoice # 18703

2.0 L 6-bolt block
Wiseco 9.1:1 pistons
Eagle rods
2.0L crank
APR bolts/studs all way round
Fully decked head surface
STG III DSM 6-bolt race head
Manley valves
STG III port job work
Comp valve job
RMC CBN surface
Severe Strip/Street Comp Cams-EA Camshafts, COM 101200
Revised lifters-TOP LIFMI6
6-bolt oil pump-TOP OPMI6
Cometic regular 86mm 0.054mls-C4234
Balance shaft eliminated
Prothane motor mounts
Full 6-bolt swap kit

TURBO, SUPPORT, & MISC RELATED EQUIP:

MHI EvoIII16g w/ SS lines. Installed with new motor, so has 2,500 miles on it also

GReddy 24-R FMIC w/ all IC piping w/type S BOV

GReddy Profec B Spec II EBC w/ remote switch, set @ 15 psi

GReddy TT

MISC:

Asides from the obvious visible exterior upgrades, like the lip, lights, wing, etc:

2.5" cat-back dual exhaust

B&M short-throw shifter @ 35% reduction w/ Symborski kit

Defi-Link gauges x3 (boost, EGT & fuel pressure) w/ central brain (playback, memory, record, etc) . Generic water temp and volt gauge

Viper 791XV LCD pager alarm with 3 extra modules: prox sensor, motion sensor, remote start (clutch bypassed)

Two 12" Fosgate subs in custom made box w/ Fosgate amp, in trunk. Removable with hood pins, pretty cool design. Infinity Kappa frony components, rear stockers, stock deck. Have code for the stock deck

NEX SS coilovers: no damping control, height adjustable only, w/ Revo Tecnica camber kit

That's the gist of it.

The major bad:

The car broke down recetly, as you all know. It was the master and slave clutch cylinders, I just replaced them. The car runs fine now.

The "I-can-live-with-it" bad:

Cosmetically, the car is in great condition, but the soft top was vandalized. I have it ghetto-patched, and it does not leak, but looks yuck (see pics). There is a small ciggy hole near the rear window by the previous owner.

You will need a new shift-boot, mines coming lose.

Also, though I have not yet smogged it, I'm almost sure it will fail CA smog regulations.

The FMIC, being tube & fin and thus a little more delicate, looks worn from freeway driving: lots of dings and cuts to the fins.

I am asking for $13,000, no trades or part out requests please guys! I would much rather sell it to someone within the DSM community is is cognisant of what these cars are capable of, in terms of both performance and problems, than someone else. Give me a best offer. I know I want to sell it for as much as I can, and I know buyers want it as cheap as they can, so I am willing to reach reasonable compromise if anyone is really interested.

PM me. E-mail me or call me (PM for number).

Such a beautiful car. I hope it goes to a good owner. I almost want to give you 13 grand so you dont have to sell it.

Sorry, no part outs. The lip isnt terribly expensive though...it cost me $110 from E-Bay...I did a pick-up to save on shipping though.
