Ignition problems, please HELP!

First I would like to say "hello" to everyone on this forum.
I'm owner of '95 Eagle Vison 3.5L. About a month ago I ran out of gas and after refill the engine hardly started and even then it died after a few moments. I tried several times to start it up again and when it did I kept the engine running in neutral at higher rpm for a few minutes. After that, car worked normally for a month. Now (the tank is half full) the same problem is back. When I'm driving for a few minutes, the engine just dies and when I try to start it up again it won't work. Then if I leave a car standing for some hours and then try again it starts normally.
Mechanic checked the fuel pump and fuel filter and both seemed to be fine. But when he was checking my car it was working normally so he could'n find the error. Can someone give me some advices on what could be wrong? Any Ideas?
I just don't trust the car right now since I don't know when or where it will stop working again.

Try cleaning your throttle body with a can of cleaner and a toothbrush. worked for my car with the same problems. car runs way better and I get better mileage too.

Re: Ignition problems, please HELP!

You may a clog in your fuel pressure regulator. It's located just under the intake plenum on the passenger side. Costs very little and easy to replace.

Re: Ignition problems, please HELP!

won't hurt to clean out the air intake TB, but your symptoms describe a failing fuel pump or a clogged filter[which is less likely than the fule pump]. Could also be pressure regulator to the rails.

Sadly, i have to lean with the fuel pump also.
