Steering wheel jiggles 96 avenger.

I got a 96 Avenger 2.0 90k miles runs good.. only problem with the car is that the steering wheel jiggles left and right when driving fast 50+mph.. something in the front suspension ? makes a thumping noise when i go over bumps. I already replaced the drivers side lower control arm. Any other ideas ?

Re: Steering wheel jiggles 96 avenger.

could be inner/outer tie rod ends. bad cv joints, or close to bad ball joints, possible wheel bearings, try this, lift the front of the car up, and check each wheel, dont have to take it off, but see if you can "wiggle" it up and down. left and right, back and forth, barely anything should move, if it does move it could also be the steering wheel turning, maybe try one side at a time. could also just be worn tires, that can cause pitching at higher speeds

Re: Steering wheel jiggles 96 avenger.

I fixed it, turns out the rim was bent so i switched the front tires to the back and now its as steady as a rock. Thanks
