I Need Help

So I have a cavalier its been bogging out lately, its the worse after it rains. I have noticed that there is a leak in my STOCK muffler which I thought was causing the bogging and the loss of power. this isnt a big deal however because I already have a new pacesetter exhaust for it that im just waiting to install. ok so heres my questions.. do you think that this new exhaust will stop the bogging? or is it my sparkplug wires and/or coil thats causing the proplem? the check engine light has come on snd at times it bogs so much i dont think its even gonna get going but always does and seems to work itself out as I go through the gears. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT HERE im so lost... any feedback would be great thanks.

Re: I Need Help

what is your code reading out, don't think a hole in the muffler would make it bog out though

Re: I Need Help

i havent had it tested...should probably go have the computer read... I put gas treatment in it yesterday and filled up and it made the check engine light go out and it was running fine...im starting to think it might be the fuel filter or pump.

My car was boggin also REALLY bad, but then I put fuel system cleaner in and bam it was back to good. havent bogged again since. I would take a look at your plugs and check your wires.

Re: I Need Help

could need a new fuel fitler as well, and maybe the cleaner stuff is getting rid of the blockage

Re: I Need Help

well you take a picture then you can resize it in paint, once you do that go to a picture host site such as www.filehost.ws and upload it on there. once it uploads copy and paste the URL and paste that into the post. or you can use www.tinypic.com or www.pichut.org or www.imageshack.us
