Question Axles help

Hey,
apparently I have been told that if I rip the eclipse off the line, I have a very good chance of breaking an axle. Does anyone know of some good axles I can buy to replace the stock ones?

Thanks

Ben

Re: Axles help

You must be rich huh ?. Your FWD launch is not going to break any thing ( might be ). AWD launch will easy break stuff. Is any thing wrong with your axles right now, if not leave it alone.

I am planning on having this car as a drag/strip car.
I will only be going hard launches.

The reason I want to replace the axles is because all I am doing is hard launches. I might as well have the axles replaced because the clipse is in the shop right now and it would be a lot easier to have it done now than if i were to do it myself with very little tools on hand.

Re: Axles help

I snapped mine on the 7th launch . Oh yeah, it was a joyseful sound. I just went to the Vatozone and got a lifetime warranty on a rebuild one. Hell, I will be launching it even harder so why not get some free ones down the road. Super Street has some good ads to axles that hold up to 500hp but they might dig deep in your pockets.

I second that... whether the warranty is on tools or parts... as long as I own the car... hellz yeah...

then again, it's a pain in the ass to rip out the parts over and over... I'd just say buy the bigger axles... they cost more upfront... but will probably save you money in the long run... (do it right the first time, and there won't be a second, third, fourth,...)

you've got quite a bit under the hood, so it sounds like you can afford the axles, so go for it...
