2000 Cavalier headlights
I have a 2000 cavalier. I have no low beam headlights. i have driving lights and high beams. Does anyone know what could be wrong or has anyone had this problem?

Re: 2000 Cavalier headlights
They dont work or they're not there?
If they just dont work you could either have a blown fuse or two burned out headlight bulbs. If theyre not there, then buy new headlight bulbs.

Re: 2000 Cavalier headlights
They just dont work. I have checked the fuse and it is fine and i have put in new headlight bulbs and it still has not worked.
if i turn on the switch for the low beam headlights to come on i just get the day time running lights. if i pull the switch for the high beam lights i can get them. |

There are technically only two explanations. First of all, the 2000 cav has a single, dual-filament bulb in each headlight. If your low beams don't work, either a filament is broken, but, assuming that niether headlight is giving a low beam, and that the proper bulbs are installed, chances are it's an electrical problem. Check fuses, wiring harness, and might as well pull the bulb to make sure it's up to par.

Re: 2000 Cavalier headlights
one more thing, the low beams will not turn on until the e-brake is released(manual), or the car is put in gear(auto). However, the high beams will engage in park.
