A productive saturday for me :)

Went to the lumber store, bought some 3/4" MDF.

Put all my interior panels back in (the side and rear panels in the back-seat/hatch area), and the speaker pods, etc. Really nice to have more than just two 6.5" two-ways up front. No subs right now though, all three sets of subs are chillin' in my house.

Once the panels were in, I went to work on making a new "floor" for the hatch-area. Turned out kickass, and It's got a bigass hole in it for the 5th rim/tire (in place of the spare). Fits perfectly.

All that took me about 5 hours...

Tomorrow, I'm building another "floor" section for where the rear seat used to be, then I'm gonna start on the fiberglass sub pod. :sun:

Also, I'm relocating my battery to the hatch (Exide Orbital), and I'm building a mounting location for it and a 1 farad capacitor underneath the 5th rim/tire... Lots of clearance room under it.

Once the sub-box is done, I'm going to cover the floor pieces in vinyl, and the sub pod is going to be painted Corvette yellow to match the interior trim pieces.

And somewhere along the way, I'm gonna build my amp-rack into the rear-seat foot-wells.

Pictures of my progress will be up tomorrow. :smoker:

It's too bad that all this crap is gonna be really heavy though.

I spend all saturday and most of sunday helping my dad reroof. Got a break today cause my friend is leaving for the air force tommorow and is having a going away party.

We got most of the trusses for the roof up this weekend, hopefully 2 more weekends and we will be done with this shit!!

I also repainted my wiper arms cause one of em got scratched (i have painted em before) dont worry, they are black, although I am considering going uniwiper for a while, but I think that will probably fuck up my aerodynamics and gas mileage.

well, I didn't get as much done today as I would've hoped, but I did cut out the base of the fiberglass sub pod, and it turned out really smooth... Pictures will be up tomorrow when I get to work...

Just remembered I have a $150 gift cert. from Car-toys, going there tomorrow to pick up a 1 farad cap and possibly some battery terminals...
