Arrow What is a good swap for a 307Y5.0L 83' 98

I have a 1983 Oldes 98 Regency Brougham W/a 307Y 5.0L
(approx. 145 HP I think) What is a good solution/alternative for my engine which has 76k miles. Is it worth the time

Welcome to AF. Any larger Olds engine is basically a direct fit, 350-455.

As long as he gets all of the pulleys and accessories, a small block Chevrolet engine will fit as well and shave about 100 lbs off the weight of the car. The transmission will be a direct-fit (TH2004R has both Chevrolet and BOP mounting provisions).
