combo of dash warning lights.....diagnosis?
Yesterday on the freeway the following dash lights came on which kind of scared me. Since then the lights went off but then returned a couple hours later. Can someone tell me what this combo means.
battery light fuel light brake light Now before anyone asks, no my E.brake was not on, and no I was not low on gas, the battery is new so that should not be the problem. My truck did not lose power temporarily but this occured while I was in 4th and when shifting to 5th the lights went away. However later in the day they returned and persisted regardless of the gear/speed I was at. Can anyone help? Truck has 148K on it and I love it but this worries me! |

Re: combo of dash warning lights.....diagnosis?
Maybe a failing alternator. Battery recently changed? Re-check connections/terminals. Undercharge or overcharge condition (often related to alternator) can bring up a bunch of dash warning lights.

you may have or will get other weird symptoms too, like poor engine running and screwing up automatic transmission...

Alternator getting ready to fail. There are many threads. Make sure you use an OEM alternator or you will be replacing it again. Read up!
