Yo Yo Yo, homey! Da supacharged engine is phat!
You can't get da supacharger from Nissan, dey be keepin' it to demselves. You can only get it from da factory. The pathy engine is mostly the same, but da alternator and da power steering pump are on opposite sides of da engine which might throw a wrench in da workz. Dude, didn't ya know that a phat exhaust and lots of stickaz make mad horses for much less cash than da supacharger anyway! Brent |

I just want some more umph to the throtle. I already put an intake, change the plugs, upgraded the fuel filter, done dual exhaust(flowmaster), next is 2 free flow cats am looking for under drive pulley's, maybe doing the comp sending it to jim wolf!.

Why not just get the 240HP Pathfinder engine? The Xterra SC engine only gets you to 210.

That would be a good Idea but I baby my cars I only have 40,000 on my 99 Path + i love the look's & the feel of it, I don't like the new ones they look too girly & clean my path looks rough but refined, the irony of the whole thing is when I bougtht my Path 3 day's later I went back to pick up my touch up paint & guess what they had the new path's there.
I told them man why didn't youg guy's tell me the new ones were coming out. Truly be honest all I like on the new one are the guages & the tail light's besides the HP's the engine has. Hey but thanks for the input its appreciated.

Excuse me for asking dude, but what year Pathy do you have? If it is late model, why do you need dual cats since they come stock with it? As for going fast, why not put a real motor in it, like a chevy V8 or 4.3 L V6? Talk about a sleeper. Then you will go REALLY fast dude. So fast you will leave skid marks in your boxers! I mean like man, why piss yo money away on Jap crap when you can go for broke?

Well its a 99 & yeah that would be a great Idea maybe I should just wait till I have loged over 100,000 miles on it then wory about an engine swap or something, You think a chevy engine would fit in there?
Also I have own plenty of American vehicle they have all just not performed nor been as reliable as the Jap cars I own, (mustang's, corvettes, camaros, thunderdirds etc). But thanx 4 your input!

If you want to see what folx have done to Pathfinders, hop on over to the 4x4parts.com message board. The guys that hang there know their Pathys something fierce, and have done some crazy tricks to some of 'em.

Jap cars have performed better? Man, what kind of American cars are you driving? AMC Pacers? Jap cars may be more reliable, but american cars are FAR cheaper to build and can lay waste to most Jap cars for the same amount of money. I have discovered from Project X that building Jap trucks ain't cheap. Also the motor limitations you have compared to American are not good. I can get motors as big as 460 CID in American but 4.5L is about as big as you can get in Jap trucks. Parts for the American motors can be bought on any street corner, but just finding a better alternator for my Nissan is next to impossible. I will probably wind up fabricating one from a high-output American alternator to make it work.
