Any Hobby Shops I Should Visit in Germany?

Hello,

I will be in Germany (Heidelberg) for the month of September. Are there any good hobby shops I should visit? I will be travelling to the Nurburgring on Sept 9th and to the new Mercedes museum on the 10th 0r the 17th. I can drive some if it's a great shop. I am interested in interesting subjects like resin trans/full kits, etc. I also collect 1:43 racing subjects.

Any tips would be appreciated!

This is a great german online shop:

http://www.automobilminiaturen.de/

Perhaps you could contact them to ask if they have a shop open to the public, or perhaps you could visit their warehouse.

Another good place to stop is:

www.nimpex.de

Located around 30 min (if you have a car) away from the DaimlerChrysler museum.
Call them or sent a email before you visit the shop, because they maybe attend some model fairs in autumn and shop hours might be reduced because of this.

If you're in Stuttgart you should visit nimpex and also the Porsche Museum!

Automobilminiaturen is good too and the owner is a nice guy but it's a very small shop ( basically just a room in his house ) with not too much stock. If you get in the area you can give it a try nevertheless.

If you're into 43rd scale stuff maybe this one could be interesting:

Another 150km from the Ring but might be worth a visit.

Oh and since you're in Heidelberg the Technik Museum in Sinsheim is a must:
