Hello al you modelers.
Here's a project my daughter is gonna build ( with my help ).

My daughter is gonna paint and glue and the parts that need some spraypaint will be done by me .

I hope she gets the virus of building and will build more.
She is 7 now .

Cool 1st build for her. Nice start on getting her hooked. Good luck to her.
Um, knowing how AMT doesn't really take any care into their plastic kits anymore, and how the kits usually have a large variation from the box art, isn't that kit more like 1:20th scale?

Cool! That is going to be fun to work on with her. Very catchy model. Did she pick it?

After my 'Make & Take' experence a couple of weekends ago I think most kids can handle an airbrush. Just set everything up, show her how and let her at it. You might be surprised at just how quickly she picks it up.

Re: my daughters project ( 7 years old )

Last weekend ( sorry for the late update ) she has done a lot of paint and glue work.

She build the engine.

here the pictures of here busy glueing the engine.

the first engine pics.

the result of the engine.

All the painting glueing and cutting is done by Kathy ( my daughter ).

I only have done the spraypaint.

The seat is painted in flat red

We hope to do some work tomorrow , all the spaypainting is ready so we can go on with some paintwork and glue some together

The most important thing is that she likes it .

Kind regards.

Re: my daughters project ( 7 years old )

Some work is done since the last update.
I've give some paintwork to a friend of mine.

Here she's busy painting the small piramides which have to come on the body.

I've done some glue work after turn lessons today. ( i'm in the selectionsection of turn sports in our village ).
The uper body is almost finished.

The parts where the wheels have to come on are also painted end my dad spayer some parts.
Sorry whe don't have pictures of this part.

I hope to do some today or tomorrow.

Kind regards,
Kathy

Great wip, very refreshing and fun. I really like the red on the body. Her workspace looks exactly like my dining room table. I was always curious about these monster rods and looking forward to more updates.

Looks great so far Kathy, keep up the good work.

I have a tip for you: Paint the mummy head green, and then mix a lot of thinner with a little bit of black paint (Water-based paint will work well). This is called a 'wash'. Then use a big brush to paint the head, letting it drip all over. When you are done, the black paint will make the little lines show up very well. You're father can show you how.

PS: What are 'turn sports'?
