Smile Love our new 06 RAV-4

We were hoping to wait until spring to get a new vehicle but the transmission was on it's last leg in our '00 Venture with 63K miles and due to the high amount of problems we had with it over the years this was simply the last straw. So, I called the fleet Dept. where I work and they gave me the name of the GM of a local Toyota dealership. I made an appt. for the next morning and we tested out a base (light green) model and a limited as well. Oddly enough we got the base model. The Limited was very nice, we though the HAV controls on the Limited were not as straight forward as the base. I just did not think it was worth $200 more a month personally and since we were not really expecting to take on a car payment we went with the base. We got it for about $600 over invoice which I was thrilled with since it is such a new model and they cannot keep them on the lot. I really wanted a few more options like the side curtain airbags and the upgraded stereo and actually a Sport model, but, since our transmission was on its last leg we could not wait any longer. He said that they are not making or getting many Sport models as the base and the limited are selling very well. We got ours three days ago and absolutely love it. It drives very nice, pretty quiet and goes over bumps pretty well. Ours only has like four options on it with the 4 cyl. THe acceleration is very good as we now have about 190 miles on it.
