witch SR20DET is the best

there a couple of diffrent 20dets out there and i was woundering witch one is the best

if you plan on leaving it stock, the s15 is the best. otherwise it really doesnt matter, they are all nearly equal. the s14 black top and s15 both have variable intake valve timing but if you plan on upgrading cams, you dont need it.

i think that s15 internals are stronger then s13, and dont forget an s15 motor will most likely have less miles on it. depends on what you think of VVT though.

YEA! S15 internals are the strongest, make sure you get an S15 engine, all the others suck!

do you plan on doing the motor sawp yourself or have a shop do it. i hear the s15 is a bitch with the wiring, i also hear that the vvt can be a pain with future mods.
i think that some of the internals on the s13 black top is better then the redtops too but i know ther is no difference in power.

i think the s14 has vvt too

S15 trans doesn't suck, it can hold like 450whp, the S13/S14 trany can hold more, but S15 is still a very good tranny.

yea i heard that late model 180sx blacktop (no vvt, and a t25) has "54c" internals. all pulsar sr20dets are 54c aswell. somebody clarify this 54c stuff?

yea the s13 blacktop internals are awesome stock. they can handle 400hp all the others crap out around 300hp. get an s13 blacktop they have the best internals.

oh and s15 trans are awesom, they can handle 800whp... like I said earlier s15s are the best SRs, get one of them!

ya i plan doing my self, for my senoir project, well i figure any motor swap is a bitch, but what i want is a strong motor, someting that can handle like 500hp

handle 500hp or be daily driven on 500hp? dont plan on an sr lasting with that much power

well a little of both, for a few years it will be a daily driver, but once i get enough cash its gonna be pure race car, but what do you think is the best daily driver engine for the 240?
