Turbo boosting problem. WEIRD!

Ok, i just purchased a stock t 25 used turbo, it has 15k on it. my other turbo was no good anymore. But before it broke, my boost gauge stopped showing boost. Well i replaced the turboand i thought everything was gonna work great, but the gauge still doesn't work. When the turbo spulls it stagers the car hard and it won't let me get passed 4k in 1st, 3500 in 2nd and 3000 in other gears. i had that same problem right before my oher turbo broke. any idea on what it could be? also, the turbo sounds real weird, it sounds like alot of loud air is being pushed and it sounds as if it is at full spull. i am clueless. i know it is a good turbo.

First off, Welcome to AF.

Second, your title says boosting PROBLEM, this belongs in the Problem Diagnosis subforum, please use them accordingly.

As for your problem, you have a massive boost leak somewhere. Check all of your intercooler lines to make sure they're connected and are free of holes or cracks.

www.vfaq.com and go read up on how to do a boost leak test. Then fix the leak.

Thanks for the info, i didn't tighten a clamp onto my intercooler, works smooth now, by the way, when should my stock t-25 turbo be at full boost?

damn I can't even remember, I think that little fucker was fully spooled around 2k.

turbo spooled fine, but i think mine spooled today at a 35oo to a 4k max, but not to sure, something is wrong wit my clutch. one thing is for sure, it wasn't anywhere near 2k
