Angry clutch

Hi all,

I have realised that somtimes after shifting to neutral a knocking sound is heard this can be removed by pressing the clutch and realeasing it again. A freind of mine who also has a peugeot said it was a common problem but does not know what it is or how to fix it. Does anyone have any idea. Also my dash displays are the spedo and a clock does anyone know if it is possible to change the clock to a rev counter, as for the connections as i know that the xsi dash will fit on mine.

Thanks for your help!

With Clutch out,I think that it may be the Input shaft bearings. If it happens after a good run and gearbox all is warm and thinner. Also may be worse with Electrical load e.g. Headlights etc. No harm really, just annoying. Run for years. Try raising your idle speed a little to mask noise. Noise with clutch depressed would be release bearing. Hope this helps.
