6.5 Diesel Stalling Problem

My 1995 6.5 Diesel stalls and usually restarts right away. I,m told this is a problem with the pmd. There seems to be quite a few coolers and remote mounts available but ask about any of them and someone will tell you there are an inferior design, harness is too long, etc. Whats the way to go????

Re: 6.5 Diesel Stalling Problem

the ideal setup is from *Link Removed* i have tried them all and found it to be the best.
just go there and click on PDC and read all the Facts a chart is there with a side by side comparision to the nearest competitor, but as you can see from the facts why their product is the best.

The link works but what is happening is gmdieseltech trolls various forums posting the short link first posted so he horns in on somebody elses free site, follow the longer link so Google gets a piece of the action and gmdieseltech doesn't get free advertising,

BTW I'm considerably more of a 6.5 tech than you are, I don't need to defend my ability, one only needs to follow your rhetoric to know that every one of your posts has one goal generate sales targeting the uninformed.

I wonder how many sites you have been banned on now, added another to your belt tonight, must be a rough evening for you

Banned here this evening http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/...d.php?t=225686
and BD, and Diesel Place, and Diesel Page, and Diesel Doctor, and GM-Diesel.com Guinness World Book title as most banned individual on the internet is what I think you are after.

Here is the DB link http://www.bd-power.com/forum/showth...5&pagenumber=1 BTW Diesel Bill is another A-1 alias

Anybody here yet get a PM about this site http://www.google.com/url?sa=L&ai=Br...xr8PS5XFLbYB3I=

Buyer beware for products from that site but visit it often and look for the things he has stolen from others claiming as his.

The owner he is defending is none other than himself gmdieseltech

First make sure your issue IS a driver problem, could be lift pump, or OPS, or IP fuel shutdown solenoid, or electrical connections causing low volts, this site has a good FAQ section for 6.5 problems and information http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=53309

If you do find that you do have a bad driver remote mount it out of the engine bay, there is too much heat under there for it to survive, leave the one on the IP and install a new one ($275 or so from most vendors), don't forget the calibration resistor, #9 is preferred by many 6.5ers because it will give an incrimental gain +4mm/3 of fuel. If you have good electrical skills you can build your own, the connector for the PMD is integral to the driver so you will want to splice a used one onto your new driver, that you mount on a electronics heat synch.

Or you can buy one plug and play, I like the one from Heath it carries a 7 yr warranty NOBODY else carries, Kennedy-SS Diesel-& DSG in Canada carry ready built, those are all underhood mounts so I'm not in favor of those mine failed 3x there, Kennedy now is offering longer harness for out of engine bay mounting.

Also within last 2 years a new product on the market REMAR-Q wholly different driver with different electronics that does not have heat issues, but was having some problems with low volt starting and radio noise on AM bands. Supposedly fixed, that driver carries a 5 yr warranty which is better than none, but in my book 7yr is better than 5.

the one gmdieseltech is trying to link you to isn't warrantied that long, on the other site this evening he tried to say it was so good it didn't need a warranty. Okay the driver comes from Stanadyne, who will admit with GM in a round about way there are "issues" with driver manufacturing, the problem was so bad a special policy was issued to cover drivers for 11 years or 120K miles which ever came first.

Does gmdieseltech/A-1 have a "magic driver", it's the same driver you can buy, that has been mounted on a finned cooler, that you could find in a computer scrap pile, wire & connectors Yup from his site looks to be the same driver, no $500 magic I see Ultimate The PDC Remote Package is our "best seller" and what we recommend and is Only $525.00. This includes a New PMD (same as GM sells),

Looks like a whole lot of coin for something one could build themselves for a whole lot less money look here it ain't nothing special http://www.duramax.bizhosting.com/My...remote_pmd.htm

Me I'd rather shop with somebody with a whole lot less baggage and maybe get a 7 yr warranty as well, maybe you are different.

For some truly interesting reading about forums go here http://www.duramax.bizhosting.com/My_Truck/forums.htm all information except his is bad, the one site that has anything good to say is a offshoot of his where he moderates and controls entry and that is a yahoo web group.

You will see a reply after this one I'm a troll, well the planet sure is populated by a large population of them, as everybody that disagrees with the "Happy Motorist" is a troll, but not just any troll but a rich one capable of sustaining many Ip addressess across the country, supposedly all anti A-1 posts are from one individual.

I've given you multiple solutions, hopefully you will find enough information to help you out.

Re: 6.5 Diesel Stalling Problem

Youve got to be kidding me !!!!

Within 5 min of bieng banned yet again and youre over here scamming again ??

If you just sold junk everybody would probably leave you alone, but when all you do is trash honest vendors how do you expect to not get called out everytime ?

Admin please ban this idiots ip so he will stop preying on your longtime members as well as all the new ones.

His tactics are always the same. Post up a bunch of testimonials while claiming to not be involved with thw websites he promotes. The whole time he fallsy accuses good companys of bad practices.
He will make good use of the pm feature cause hes scared of all the replys hell get when he posts in the open forums.

He will be followed to every website he posts at to give the unknowing a heads up while just disrupting the forums.

Dave Hansen AKA A1Customs AKA GmDieselTech, you have been permanently banned for spam. Your IP address and ISP information has been logged. If you return to this site you will be reported to your ISP (Adelphia) and your webhost (bizhosting.com) for violations of the "Can Spam Act of 2003".

Have a nice day.

To the guys from DieselPlace, you are welcome to stay and contribute to this forum. Keep in mind that we do have guidelines that must be followed, those guidelines prohibit attacking other members, but in this instance I'm willing to let that slide.
