Posting pics

I'm still trying to get the hang of posting pics. What resolution and what size should I be using? I know that 10K is the limit, but I've tried posting pics much smaller than that and it still says they're too big.

The restrictions for http://www.automotiveforums.com/upload/ are:
1. .jpg ONLY
2. 100KB MAX
3. File name should NOT have spaces
