1993 GC Auto - gear shifter - WON'T CRANK

I have to crank it in neutral. How much trouble is it to work on this switch ? Is it something that can be adjusted ? Cleaned ??

The NSS (Neutral Safety Switch) is not hard to replace and can also be cleaned with success. Your problem could also be that the shifter cable needs adjusted. Most of the time when you always have to start it in NEUTRAL it is a bad NSS Switch.
