First Car
Hey...
Im going to be turning 17 next august so I will be getting my driver's liscense in nj. I was wondering what car would be a good first car because I will eventually get a [COLOR=green ! important][COLOR=green ! important]nissan[/color][/color] 300 zx tt for my second car. I dont want to get the tt first because insurance is high n i wont have enough money for the car anyway. So what car would prepare me for the nissan 300 zx tt? Im looking for a shift so I can get started early n it can be expensive either. I dont mind if it isnt that nice of a car but it needs to be suitable. Thanks a lot for ur help

z31 turbo is your car... cheap, fun, fast for cheap, etc etc... the insurance isn't as bad on it beause they're older cars.. some of the older ones you can even get classic insurance on which is dirt cheap.
anyway, look for one that's made after 87/8 so you get the W series engine, better transmission, lsd, nicer interior and better suspension setup.

240sx is a nice car, do the 400 small block transplant usin the 350 conversion kit, and you got a driftin monster... ahh i just creamed myself. ohhh you should go the turbo route though.

So you want a Green Z32 TT one day..... start looking now. The color green I have color code DN is a 95-96 color only. They had one before that in 94 that was a pine tree green color or british racing green color but it didnt look as good. All of the green Zs are RARE! I have seen 5 DN green Zs in 10 years. and only 2 were for sale and only of those was a TT.
I have 1 of 13 in my trim package, thats how rare of a color that is. Good luck! Oh and if you EVER think about putting a Domestic engine in the 240SX. Now you can put a VK56DE in a 240SX and have a Nissan powered MONSTER! Engine swap options for a 240SX, staying in the Nissan family are. KA24DE-T CA18DET SR20DET RB20DET RB25DET RB26DETT VG30DE VG30DETT VQ35DE VQ35DE-TT VQ35DE-S VH45DE VH45DE-TT VK56DE VK56DE-TT Well I think that about sums it up..... now if you want an idea about how much the swaps cost...... Anythin other than a KA24DE, SR20DET, or a CA18DET will cost a funky butt lovin amount of money.
