Greddy Boost Controller Question

I installed my greddy boost controller today. I set the controller at 14psi(hi). The thing is on my boost gauge and on the contoller it maxes out at 12psi. i was woundering about the way I installed it. The boost gauge and boost controller are both hooked up to the same fpr line. would this have anything to do with it? thanks

what i ment to say is it ok to have both the boost gauge and boost controller running off one line.

Re: Greddy Boost Controller Question

I wouldn't run a boost controller (or anything if possible) on the FPR line. Any leak on that line will cause you to run lean, so it's best to keep it a solid run of high quality vacuum line.

About your specific problem, I don't think using the FPR line has anything to do with it. You should start by posting which of the Greddy EBCs you are using, since there are at least 4 different ones (A, B, spec 2, type s). I have a feeling that this is a spec II based on your wording, and I have experience with the old skool B and the newer type s.

Re: Greddy Boost Controller Question

You are on your own with that steaming pile of donkey biscuits

The best place to tap into is the BOV line, the P port on the TB, or a fitting that you add yourself. Losing any of those things would not be catastrophic.

Re: Greddy Boost Controller Question

so leave the boost gauge tapped into the fpr and tap the boost controller into the b.o.v. line?
