harmonic balancer problem

I just got my AC working again, but now i need to replace my harmonic balancer. Where is the best place to find this part and how would you remove it b/c haynes manual doesn't give me anything? If it's not one thing it's another with my MC. I have a 1998 Monte Carlo 3.1L.

Re: harmonic balancer problem

A company called Dorman makes aftermarket balancers. If they don't offer one then it's a dealer only part. Removing the balancer involves removing the center bolt that goes into the crankshaft, then using an appropriate puller to remove the balancer (as they are a press fit part).
