Re: hasegewa kubelwagon baja

thanks guys.
The engine came from a revell tuner kit. They actually run them in class 10 in desert racing.
I have pics of a real race buggy if you would like to see them.
I have not scratch built the exhaust or intake setup yet, basically the block is just put together.
I will take good engine pics when I get to that part.LOL!
I have to build the suspension and finish all the cage work first.

Re: hasegewa kubelwagon baja

I finally did a little more on my project.
I built the rear trailing arms, battery and equipment shelf, and did some more cage work on the rear.
I mocked it up so you could see how it will sit and look.
The chassis will be medium charcoal grey.

Re: hasegewa kubelwagon baja

Thanks Steve.
Quad-I appreciate the comments,I try to keep my stuff a little off the beaten path.LOL!
I just built a shock example yesterday.
The top will be hidden and trimmed up inside the mount.

Re: hasegewa kubelwagon baja

I just experimented with a quickie shock for a Pinto modified racer this weekend. What did you use for the spring, and how did you get it so even?

Re: hasegewa kubelwagon baja

Did that car really raced? If not, it's a good way to build a different model...

It sure is. the joints are really well done and the whole thing looks like a real kit and not a scratchbuild. Very clean work.
