Convert OBD 1.5 To Full OBD 2

Hi,

I have a 95 Sunfire and I would like to put an OBD 2 computer in it. What is involved in a project like this? The main reason is, I would like to hook up Digimoto and other software to the computer, but from what I have read, you can't do such with an OBD 1.5 computer.

Re: Convert OBD 1.5 To Full OBD 2

then just run a standalone like a megasquirt. 95 ECM has more options than the OBDII (IMO) such as a remavable chip that you can replace.

you wont have fun with the conversion, in fact, if you have to ask about it, it's going to be a while before you can do it...you need more sensors and some have different sensor locations.

What motor? If you say 2.3L then forget all that obd2 crap, the 2.3L is not a motor for the OBD2 setup in some drivers eyes, including mine.

It's the 2.2L. What chip would you recommend to put in? Is there any PC Software out there for an OBD I computer?

Re: Convert OBD 1.5 To Full OBD 2

Mantapart.com carries chips. and some shops can burn custom chips for your car depending on what you have done to it.

If you want to control with a PC, go with Megasquirt, its a popular setup, and fully customizable at any future point and mod.
