Wheel Hop

hi everyone, my brother just picked up a 91' 240sx LE, and there has been a lot of wheel hop with the right rear tire. Also the right rear is a lot easier to push down than the other corners. my question is would this probably weak spring cause the wheel hop?

p.s by right rear i mean passenger side

Re: Wheel Hop

Shocks are blown I believe?

Remove the wheel and wiggle it up and down by holding the rotor, should be stiff

Re: Wheel Hop

go with oem? the only thing "a little sportier" i can think of would be some tein basic dampers or something... unless you use those cheap coilover sleeve kits which i wouldnt recomend.. your shocks will be back to the way they are now in a week. good luck

Re: Wheel Hop

Step1: Get coilovers.
Step2: Drop your subframe and press in some solid subframe bushings.
Step3: Get full rear multi link.

Re: Wheel Hop

just get tokico HPs or KYB GR2s. both are near OEM price and work well.

this is true.......i did it lol. Well it was about 3 thousand if you add coilovers and other miscalaneous suspension stuff. But just rear multi link would be cheap and still good quality at splparts.com

I would recommend it.......its like a new car and it looks pretty lol.
