4g63t all the same?

everytime i go onto a site such as skunk2.com or anyother site they list cam gears and camshafts and other engine parts for the 95-99 4g63t's.... i thought all 4g63t stuff is the same is this true Or are some companys retarded and only listed it as a 2nd gen part becuase they not aware that 4g63t's are all the same?

Some parts are interchangeable. The gears, for example, should be good for either engine. Other things such as flywheels arent interchangeable.

Build on hold until I get a good paying job, either in school or once I get out. At that time a full tear down and complete rebuild should be in order.

And there is a differance between the early first gens (90-92.5) and the late second gens (92.5-94)...and a big differance between the first gen dsms and Second generations dsms....Like Thor said it just depends on the part.

the only diff's i know between 1'g and 2g 4g63t's is the compression and pistons and rods 7bolt crank, i thought all head parts where the same such as cam gears,cams, i just know the 1g head flows a hell of alot better then the 2g heads.

6-bolt motors also came with a balance shaft, they have different manifolds, heads, and a few other small differences.
