First Pics and Info on Porsches newest Racing challenger, the 997 GT3-RSR
Most interesting details are the exhaust and the shape of the frontwheel housings.... Will it match the F430?

Re: Porsche unveils new GT2 Challenger
I'm more concerned about it being able to keep up with the TRG GTO's if you take away the GTO's restrictor plate in Grand Am.

I don't like the look of it.
The new GT3 RSR won't race in the Rolex Sports Car Series. They give it 14 inch wide tires, but have been given an extra 100 kilograms which is around 220 pounds. Part of the weight gain is likely due to the mandatory air conditioning. http://www.americanlemans.com/news/Article.aspx?ID=2270 ![]() ![]() ![]() I think the 997 GT3 Cup car looks better.

The 996 GT3 RSR has 445 hp and 299 lb-ft of torque.
The 997 GT3 RSR has 485 hp and 321 lb-ft of torque. Mika Salo and Jaime Melo have won two-straight races with their F430 GTC from Risi Competizione in the American Le Mans Series. I talked with a guy from Risi Competizione at the Portland Grand Prix and he said the F430 GTC has 430 hp. Another picture from testing at Spa
