89CivicDX.Tranny Fluid change-DIY
Never done this before. Once you drain the tranny fluid from bottom passenger side drain, Where do you fill the new tranny fluid from??? Is it the same place as where the dip stick is?? OR somewhere else ?
Also, is there a tranny filter for my car, or just fluid change will do it all? If so, anyone knows (pictures, web site, docs., etc.) how do, that'd be great. |

Re: 89CivicDX.Tranny Fluid change-DIY
there is no filter you need to change, there is another bolt in the tranny you can take out to pour it in but it is gonna be a pain to get to. it is the large bolt to the left of where your passenger axle meets the tranny. another place you can fill tranny fluid is thru the speedo. when putting the fluid in just put in as much as you can until it starts to leak out of the bolt hole next to your axle.

Ok, the plug you drained it from, look about 4- 6 in. above that..theres your hole, and when he said you can fill through the speedo, he didnt mean IN the car..hes talking about the mechanical drive unit for the speedo cable, that sits on top of the trans, backside. And if its a 5spd, no, there is no filter.
