Re: psi level

or you can buy a boost leak test, that came with a gauge, that tell you how many psi your are pump, so you dont have to run around, and look at your boost gauge, or tell your mom sit in the car, and watch the boost gauge for you, I told my mom sit in the car and I adjust the biss crew, so she can watch the rpm drop .

Re: psi level

14 psi , a couple months ago, when i was in CA smoking some civics, the hose that goes from the IM to the BOV came off and i was only boosting 10psi, so that could be your problem.

Re: psi level

well thats what is happening to me but everything seems secure and tight

this is a really noobish question but could it have something to do with my boost gauge, like the line not screwed in tight enough or whatever?

Re: psi level

IIRC, the stock 2g's run 14, while the stock 1gs run 10.5.

It's possible. If you're using the really crappy nylon tube that comes with most boost gauges, they kink really easy, and tear holes. Autometer sells a copper tube for 15 bucks, well worth it.

so i could have a link/kink through my boost gauge and that could be screwing with my boost?

I did. The nylon hose kinked and punched a hole through it giving me bad boost readings. Mine happened to kink inside the cabin so I could hear the hissing.

Re: psi level

Hey thanks alot crunchymilk55, that was the problem, its reading 15 again. So i was prolly getting 15 the whole time, the gauge was just reading 10 then?

did that make me lose power?

yep, it's a minor boost leak, but still a boost leak. I'm glad you got to it before you started tinkering with other stuff. They sell that autometer copper tubing kit at Oreily's for 15 bucks. Your welcome.
