An orphan car comes from a company or brand that no longer exists, has stopped making cars, was absorbed by another company, was imported but is no longer sold anymore.

Now Daewoo is an orphan car.
Which is in some ways is a cool thing, orphan cars usually turn into collectors items, the Nash Metroplolitan or Citroens are prime examples.
